Follow the great shorelines of Michigan’s lower peninsula! Registration opens to memebrs on Jan. 1 2025 and to everyone else on Jan. 15 2025. All proceeds of this bicycling tour support the League of Michigan Bicyclists.
The 38th annual SHORELINE cycling tour
Join us for an unforgettable week-long journey around the tip of Michigan’s mitten! Beginning in Alpena and traversing through Mackinaw City toward Traverse City, Shoreline 2025 will showcase the stunning coastlines of both Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Experience serene waters, picturesque lighthouses, tranquil forests, and beautiful beaches, all while enjoying delicious fudge along the way. This cycling tour will take you through some of northern Michigan’s most exquisite treasures.

Something For Everyone!
You can ride any bicycle in good mechanical condition on Shoreline. This includes trikes, recumbents, tandems, unicycles, and e-bikes. The standard route is designed to accommodate road bikes. Mountain, hybrid, cyclocross, and gravel bikes will have a blast on the routes. If you are using a standard road bike or touring bike, consider fitting wider tires for comfort. All main routes on Shoreline this year are paved.

“I wanted to connect the 2025 jersey to the 24 version, so I kept with the Mighty Mac as my theme, but tied it to the year by adding in the northern lights. 2025 is going to be the height of the solar maximum, so we’re going to be seeing a lot more auroras.
